Framewich is built by LzCtrl LLC. This policy covers the Framewich iOS app and this website, and explains what we collect and why.

The short version: Framewich has no accounts and asks for nothing about you personally. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

No account, no personal details

There is no name, email address, phone number, date of birth or password to give us. When you first open the app it creates an anonymous identifier for that installation, and everything the app stores is filed under that identifier. It is not connected to your name, your email, or your real-world identity.

What the app stores

To keep your library working and backed up, Framewich stores the following against your anonymous identifier, both on your device and with our cloud provider:

• The screenshots you import, and the preview images the app generates from them. Your finished exports are not uploaded; they go wherever you choose to send them.
• Your frame and folder names, any caption text you write, and the styling choices you make, along with when each frame was created and last changed.
• Basic details about the installation: when it was first seen, when it was last active, the app version, and counts of how many frames, folders and exports you have made.
• Anything you write in the in-app feedback form, so that we can act on it.

Nobody else can read your images, and we do not use them for any purpose other than running the app for you.

Analytics and crash reports

We record which features get used and when something breaks, so we know what to fix and what to build. These events describe behavior, not content: that a screenshot was imported, that a device frame was changed, that an export finished. Frame names, caption text, filenames and anything you type into search are never sent.

Crash reports may include your device model, operating system version, app version, the time, and technical details about the state of the app when it failed.

What we do not do

• We do not show advertising of any kind.
• We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and never show an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
• We do not look through your screenshots, and we do not use your images to train anything.
• We do not build an advertising or marketing profile about you.

Photo library access

Framewich imports screenshots through Apple's system photo picker, which hands the app only the images you pick. The app never asks for permission to read your whole photo library.

When you save an export to Photos, iOS asks for add-only permission: the ability to put new images into your library, without the ability to read what is already there. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase for authentication, storage, analytics and crash reporting. Google processes this data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes. You can read Firebase's privacy documentation for their side of it.

Framewich is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple's handling of downloads, purchases and reviews is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.

Your choices and your data

Deleting a frame removes its images from your device and from our storage. Settings, then Delete all frames, clears the lot. Records of deleted items are marked inactive and stop being visible to you or to the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase the data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Because Framewich has no accounts, we need help identifying your records, so please get in touch from a device that still has the app installed. Reach us through the contact page and we will take care of it.

Where your data is handled

Our service providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers.

How long we keep it

Your frames stay until you delete them or delete the app's data. Analytics and crash records are kept only as long as they are useful for fixing and improving the app, and are then removed on our providers' standard retention schedules.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted, and access rules restrict each installation to reading and writing only its own records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Framewich is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other places

The app and this site link to places we do not run, such as the App Store. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, so review their policies when you go there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. New versions get posted here with the effective date updated, and take effect as soon as they are posted.
